Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Hoodmarketcap ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with hoodmarketcap.com, its subdomains, APIs, and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our servers and network providers (including our CDN/proxy provider) record technical data such as IP address, user-agent, requested URLs, referrer, and timestamps, used for security, rate limiting, and operations.
- Local preferences. We store your display preferences (such as light/dark theme) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device; we do not read it server-side. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
Information you provide
- Page claims. If you claim a token page, we collect the wallet address you sign with, your cryptographic signature, the timestamp, and the content you submit (descriptions and links). Wallet addresses and signatures are retained as an audit record of the claim.
- Correspondence. If you contact us, we receive the information you include.
Public blockchain data
The Services index data from public blockchains. Blockchain data (including wallet addresses and transactions) is public by design, is not created by us, and cannot be altered or deleted by us.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- To operate rate limiting, abuse prevention, and security monitoring;
- To verify and display page claims;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information.
3. How We Share Information
- Service providers. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN/DDoS protection, and third-party data APIs) that process technical data on our behalf.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person or the Services.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Public content. Claim-submitted page content and the claiming wallet address are displayed publicly by design.
4. Data Retention
Server logs are retained for a limited operational period. Claim records are retained for as long as the related token page exists, as an integrity audit trail. Local preferences persist until you clear your browser storage.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we handle. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. International Transfers
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability, and to non-discrimination for exercising such rights. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below. Note that we cannot modify or erase data recorded on public blockchains.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time by posting a revised version with an updated date. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
